Kadeeja Sel Khan, a 24 year old model, influencer and skin positivity activist from Birmingham, has been documenting her struggles with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and acne on her YouTube and Instagram for three years, garnering support online for her honest and unfiltered make-up tutorials.
Despite initially receiving online abuse for revealing her natural, unmade up skin on social media, Khan focused on the many positive comments praising her as an inspiration for others to feel confident and accept their own skin. Since first sharing her skin journey, Khan has featured in campaigns for Rimmel, Makeup Revolution and Boots, and has won praise from major fashion and beauty media outlets including Vogue, Elle and Cosmopolitan. Recently, Khan won The Sun’s Fabulous Influencer Awards’ Keep It Real Influencer for her efforts in bringing reality to social media, and is also set to sit on the judging panel for the upcoming ASOS Beauty Awards.
